Hope for the Holidays Walkathon

Join us for Jayani’s Army Hope for the Holidays Walkathon and help support families facing childhood cancer! Every step brings us closer to our goal of virtually traveling from Columbus to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, while raising funds for families receiving treatment at Nationwide Children's Hospital during the holiday season. Come out to walk and enjoy ice cream, food, raffle baskets! Free shirts will be given out to early attendees!

Follow these simple steps to get started:

  1. Register for the Walkathon by filling out this Google form: Register Here! 

  2. Create your RallyUp page to begin fundraising: Create Here! 

  3. Ask friends and family to sponsor you at the Walkathon! Supporters can sponsor you through your Rally Up account. One time donations are also accepted at our event if you choose to go without a sponsor. 

  4. Come to the walkathon in August and walk or run as many laps as you can!

Why do we walk?

When Jayani underwent cancer treatment, she briefly lost the ability to walk. At the event, we will walk as a collective “army” to overcome these obstacles for Jayani. This walkathon is our way of showing support for all children facing challenges through their journey with cancer. 

100% of the funds raised at this event will go toward supporting a specific family of a child receiving cancer treatment at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in the month of December. Each family will receive a personalized Holiday Care Package that contains funds for transportation, meals, and holiday gifts.  

Additional Info:

  • All ages and fitness levels are welcome.

  • You can walk as little or as much as you like. 

  • Registration deadline is August 22nd, 2026. There is no registration fee associated with signing up. There is no fundraising minimum for participants, any amount is welcome and appreciated.

  • Date/Time: Saturday, August 29th from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM

FAQs:

  • On-site volunteers, water stations, and first-aid will be available at our event.

  • Comfortable walking/running shoes! Water, snacks, and sunscreen will be provided. 

  • Free parking will be at Grandview Heights High School. Parking map is attached. Volunteers will help guide participants to parking and to the stadium. Check in opens at 1:30 PM at the entrance to Bobcat Stadium.

  • Yes! You can still support Jayani’s Army by donating through our website!

  • Raffle tickets will be handed out based on how many laps you walk or run. Drawing will happen at the end of the event.

  • There will be no make-up date. We will be walking rain or shine!
